Netherlands Day 12 - Canal Cruise in and around Leiden

We woke up to overcast and a bit of rain which thankfully had mostly cleared up by the time we started the long anticipated canal cruise from Leiden to a couple of the towns of importance to Tori's great grandparents who left the Netherlands for America a century before.  The first stop was in the town of Rijnsburg where we visited the church that Marie and Casey were married in.  The cemetery did not contain many tombstones from the 19th century but there was still a few Van Duijns to be found.  Thankfully the weather held up and we had a very fun few hours cruising through the canals passing many beautiful homes, catching a glimpse of a castle, and taking selfies with a few windmills.

Our tour was a couple hours quicker than expected so after a short break a smaller portion of the family hopped onto a smaller boat for an hour long canal tour through the city of Leiden.  Dinner was had a basic but tasty Italian shop once again accompanied by Ted, Tami, Jim and Caroline.
