Bolivia Day 7 - Exploring the markets of Sucre

We relaxed in the morning before heading out to the first of three markets we would visit today.  The first market was the central market located appropriately in the middle of town.   After spending some time here and picking up some super glue as well as the traditional fermented peach juice we wandered over to the clothing oriented market.  This market known as mercado negro featured all kinds of clothing and styles. We wandered through this and as neither of us needed any clothing our visit was quite quick.  From there we headed down to the very authentic mercado campesino where locals where selling everything from food to power tools to clothing.  Hungry we found lunch at a very authentic local restaurant where the food was delicious, the price extraordinarily cheap and Tori’s soup flavored with a chicken leg.

After lunch we made our way back into town and visited the freedom house museum.  This museum features a lot of information on the formation of Bolivia as a country and their freedom from Spanish colonialism.

Wandering back toward our hotel we stopped for some churros at monkey churros and ordered more than we should have as they were very filling.  Scott stopped for a haircut after and then finished filing taxes before heading back out for dinner.
