We woke with the help of our alarms and caught our bus to Chile at 3:45am along with a half dozen other half awake backpackers. The bus arrived at the border at 8am and despite a slightly clunky process we were back on the road by 8:45 and in San Pedro de Atacama around noon. We checked into our airbnb and walked around the town. In town we finalized our tour through the Bolivia salt flats that would leave in a couple days time and then found some good pizza before returning to our stay for a nap. We'd venture into town again for some snacks and water in preparation for the sightseeing planned for the upcoming day.
