We spent today touring around the capital of Laos. Our first stop was to find a bank that would let us withdraw US Dollars in order to more easily pay for our entry into Vietnam. This process was surprisingly smooth and we were soon on our way to see the Giant Supta. Part of our quest for the day was to find Tori a new pair of sunglasses as her previous pair found their way to the bottom of the river in Vang Vieng. Our quest brought us into the Vientiane Center shopping mall and we stumbled upon setup and a practice session for Miss Laos 2018. Eventually we found a good deal on a pair of sunglasses, had seen a bit of Vientiane, and found a tuk tuk in time to avoid an incoming rainstorm. Due to the rain we ended up at the airport a bit earlier than intended but better early than late. The airport was minimal and we ended up eating top ramen as the other option for food past the security gate was stale sandwiches. Our flight was short and uneventful and we arrived in Hanoi excited for the next month in Vietnam.
