We left Canggu via taxi from Canggu and headed to the central mountain town of Ubud.
Upon arriving we found some lunch at the lovely Yellow Flower Cafe set in a small neighborhood on a hill above the ridge we would walk in the afternoon.
Following lunch we walked the Campuhan Ridge Walk. It was a gentle walk overlooking a small stream and ending with views of a small pocket of terraced rice paddies. We stopped for a couple of milk shakes along the walk but should have stopped a few hundred meters further as those cafe's had better views.
We returned to the hotel and let some rain pass before heading out for dinner at Sweet Orange Warung. It was an adventure walking to this place carrying umbrellas and walking on a flooded path between rice fields. The food was very good and the staff quite friendly, but I recommend venturing to this restaurant in fair weather.
All in all a good day, despite more rain than we were hoping for.
