Singapore - SEAsia Day 65

With only one full day in Singapore we tried to see alot.  After an inadequate breakfast at the hotel we stopped at hawker market for a second breakfast before walking to the Super Grove Garden at Gardens by the Bay.  This man made garden area is huge and could easily consume the entire day.  We opted to do the sky walk and skipped the indoor gardens and a couple other somewhat expensive attractions.  The next stop was at a giant shopping centre The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.  Tori wanted to see the massive Louis Vuitton store and was happy to enjoy the air conditioning.  We checked out the rooftop observatory deck that gave a fine view of the financial district.  Back inside we grabbed lunch in the food court before heading on the subway over to Little India to see a few temples.

While in little India, Scott found a place to get his monkey damaged glasses repaired as well as buy another memory stick to backup photos onto.  After touring little India we jumped back on the subway and returned to the hotel to clean up before meeting a couple of Ted's friends for the evening.

Danny and his wonderful wife Joyce picked us up from our hotel and took us to dinner not far from the hotel at a favorite spot of theirs.  We enjoyed traditional chicken rice, and a wide spread of other foods including liver that Joyce will not touch but Scott cleaned up.

With everyone very full Danny drove us around showing us many different parts of Singapore.  The number of shopping malls is astounding as well as the number of people who were going into and out of them.  We feel like we need to come back and spend an evening enjoying the liveliness of Little Arabia as well as see more of the history of this city.  Thank you again to Danny and Joyce for such a fun and informative evening.
