Chile Day 8 - Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino - Cerro San Cristobal

Expectedly so we slept the wine and beer off before making some breakfast.  In the early afternoon we headed back down toward the Plaza de Armas and paid a visit to the Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino.  This museum contains artifacts and history from the beginning of civilization in America all the way through the initial impacts of the arrival of the europeans in the 1500's.  The abundance of history that none of us had any understanding was a bit overwhelming but then there is much to learn about everything.  From the museum we walked a few blocks to Mercado Central in search of some dinner.  We found some pretty good seafood at a small restaurant by the name of Donde Blanco.

With our stomachs full we spent the next 30 minutes walking over to Cerro San Cristobal where we took a funicular up the hill.  We took in the various sites on top of the hill and the panoramic views of the city.  We watched the sun set behind the coastal mountains and then started the hour long walk down.  As we went we enjoyed the unexpected views of the city lights coming on.  A wonderful way to finish our stay in Santiago.

Again limited photos due to an sdcard scam that i did not realize soon enough.
