Day 40 - Little Bighorn Battlefield, Mount Rushmore

After enjoying another of Dani's breakfasts and spending a bit more time with Gus and Lucy we were back in the car for another lengthy drive.   4 hours later we were at Little Bighorn battlefied, home of Custer's last stand.

Soaking in some of the history and following a very hot walk around the battlefield, we made some lunch, and headed for Mount Rushmore.

Well organized but surrounded by many tourist traps we took in the spectacle known as Mount rushmore, a walk down what was open of the presidential trail, and watched a moving on the creation and maintainence of the monument.

We decided against sticking around for the lighting of the monument and set out for Wind Caves National Park where we set up camp for the night.
