Day 57 - PEI

Shortly after our alarms went off we hopped in the car and headed back up to the north side of the island.  We stopped at the Cavendish section of PEI national park and made breakfast overlooking the ocean.  As the eggs were cooking - which took alot longer than expected due to the wind - the skies darkened and not 5 minutes after finishing breakfast the rain began.  Unfortunately it rained for most of the day, but we tried to make the best of it.  We skipped Anne of Green Gables park as wandering that property would have been a chore soaking wet, and found our way up to see the Tea Cup rock.  Tori opted to not venture down the beach as she did not have a rain jacket with her.  Scott made it to the less than spectacular sea stack.  After a attempting to view a couple lighthouses and giving up due to even heavier rains we decided to move our lobster supper up to be a midday meal.  Some souvenir shopping, and a stop at the post office to send a spare key back to Halifax, on route to Fisherman Wharf meant our appetites were in full throttle for lobster.  The endless salad bar, mussels, chowder, rolls, followed by a lobster and then endless dessert called for a slow moving afternoon.  Thankfully we found a slight break in the weather and took a walk on Robinson's Island in the middle section of the national park.  Full and somewhat tired we capped the day off with stops at two breweries,  Barnone and PEI Brewing Company.

We could use another few days on this island - preferably without a budget, and with golf clubs - but it has been a fun and relaxing stop on our journey.
