Cambodia Day 12 - On to Koh Ta Kiev - SEAsia Day 89

With the waves up we had a choppy long boat ride to a more protected pier where we caught the speedboat back to the mainland.  From the mainland we got a tuk tuk to otres beach and after a short wait and some breakfast we caught another long boat from the otres beach to Koh Ta Kiev.  We were checked in and shown to our treehouse overlooking the bay and a small beach.  An absolutely stunning place that may not exist next year due to the rapid chinese development in the area.  Over the past decade the town of Sihanoukville has gone from the jewel of Cambodia to a construction ridden mess with nearly 100 chinese hotels and casino's in the area.  Thankfully we managed to get away from Sihanoukville and find an island oasis on Koh Ta Kiev.

Following a relaxing afternoon, Scott's good friend Nathan and three of his friends, LouAnn, Daniel, and Gobi arrived at the resort.  We would enjoy the next handful of days spent with them in the islands of Cambodia.

In the evening we ventured out into the water and enjoyed the bioluminescent plankton and how much nicer it is to see standing on the ground versus treading water.  A good day.
