Thailand Day 11 - Railay Beach - SEAsia Day 105

After breakfast we wandered down to the beach and bought tickets for a long boat ride to the adjacent but inaccessible railay beach.  Our first plan was to hike up to one of the viewpoints and take in the view from the top of the Krabi Cliffs.  The signage was great and we quickly found the start of the hike.  The hike itself was not long finishing the entire out and back plus time to relax at the top in under an hour but was tricky none the less.  Ropes lined the pathway up and for the most part it was scrambling over limestone and required the use of all fours to get up and down.  A fun bit of exercise and we are glad that was dry and the rocks were easy to grip as a result.

Upon completing the hike we grabbed a couple of beers from a convenience store and setup at the beach, quickly going into the water to cool down.  The rest of the afternoon was spent on the beach with a break for lunch at a small beachside restaurant.  Around sunset we took a long boat back to our beach and walked back up the road to our hotel to clean up for dinner.  The rain started while we were in the hotel so we waited for that to pass before wandering down the street to grab some food.
