Thailand Day 10 - 4 islands tour - SEAsia Day 104

We were picked up from the hotel at 7 am and driven about 20 minutes to a pier where we eventually boarded a long boat with 20 other people for a tour of 4 islands.

Our first stop was at Phra Nang beach and cave.  We decided to spend the time on the beach and in the water as we had seen quite a few caves already on the trip.  The tide was low and that allowed an easy swim across to another rock outcrop.  A very pretty spot next to the cliffs of Krabi.  The boat then took us out to Tup Island where we enjoyed some white sand beach and sand bars that connect three islands at low tide.  Very near to Chicken Island we circled past the famous chicken rock formation before anchoring for 30 minutes of snorkeling.  The reefs unfortunately are not in great condition mostly due to the sand being churned up by so many boats passing by, and the number of anchors dropped on top of them every day.  It was still a fun experience but the number of fish was lower than expected.

The final stop of the day was at Poda Island.  We were fed a buffet lunch and relaxed in the sun amongst the hundreds of others who's tours were stopping at this island in similar timing. Eventually it was time to get back on the boat and we were returned to Ao Nang Beach in Krabi.  Like most nights we wandered back to the hotel, cleaned up and ventured out for dinner.  We found a an Authentic Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria by the name of Azzurra and we enjoyed the pizza's they made.  They were quite good but Fernando still has us swayed as the best pie in South East Asia.
