Thailand Day 14 - Final Day in Thailand - SEAsia Day 108

On our final day in Thailand we packed our bags. left them with the bell hop and checked out of the hotel.  We made our way up to a vintage coffee shop, Pompano, set in the camp vintage flea market which is adjacent to one of the biggest weekend markets in Thailand.  The market would only be partially open on a Friday but that still meant hundreds of stalls to explore.  After our coffee we ventured through the market on route to a large park.  As we strolled through the park Tori spotted a Monitor Lizard not far off the path.  This sighting seemed to make our morning as we did not expect to see such a large lizard in the middle of city.  Amazingly about 30 minutes later we saw another one in another section of the park.  Maybe these sightings are not so rare but don't tell us that!  Seeking relief from the heat we found our way into Union mall where we explored more shops, found some lunch, cooled off, and explored a four story camera shop.  We took a grab back to the market, where the sun was setting in the distance.  Taking advantage of some remaining thai baht we indulged in our last of the cheap massages, a couple of excellent foot massages.  We enjoyed a beer in the beer garden before it was time to wander back to the hotel and grab our bags in order to make the first leg of our flight home.

Time to retire this hat
