After sleeping in we rented bicycles to explore the island. We made our way down to Koh Jum town which did not offer very much then wound over to another beach that had a few monkeys running around. Getting back on our bikes the seat post on Scott's bike bent so he had an uncomfortable mile or so ride back to the hotel to swap bikes. Heading past the hotel we found a quiet beach a couple miles down the road that had a small bar with friendly staff and enjoyed the afternoon in the sun and the sea. We highly recommend Koh Jum to anyone looking to get away from the crowds and enjoy quiet island life. They may not be the most spectacular beaches in Thailand but the people are friendly and the number of tourists around is minimal.
Well we had one incredible year of travel over the latter half of 2018 and the first of 2019. We will continue to use this to post on other places we find ourselves lucky enough to explore as part of our return to normal life.
