Another travel day was upon us as we were destined to reach Koh Rong Sanloem one of many Cambodian islands off the southern shore of the country. Our bus from Kampot to Sihanoukville took longer than expected but we still arrived in time to catch our ferry, a large speedboat, to the island. We were dropped off at a long wooden pier and quickly greeted by the resort staff. After being shown to our bungalow we relaxed in the calm clear waters and wandered up and down the beach.
At dinner Scott was mauled by mosquitoes and we both retreated to the safety of the bungalow for the night. Thunderstorms overnight were some of the noisiest we heard on the trip but we still managed to get enough sleep to feel rested.
