Day 22 - The Wave

Early morning as we woke with the sun to try and beat the heat as we set out to hike the Wave.

With photo map in hand we found our way from wash, to saddle, from saddle, to twin buttes, from buttes, to sand dunes, and from dunes to crevice.  88 minutes later we had reached the wave.  A spectacular site we took our time taking photos and wandering around some of the other features in the area.  Again we made ramen on the hiking stove after finding a relaxing spot in the shade.  A little over an hour later we ventured back to the car, arriving just before noon.

Escaping the heat we returned to Glen Canyon Dam recreation area to take a shower, then jumped back to Page, AZ to grab a few more supplies from walmart and a real lunch.

Next was the journey north through monument valley en route to meet Scott's friend Kieran north of Moab.  We are currently camped at a KOA in Green River and will venture to Capitol Reef National Park in the morning.
