Parting ways with Mimi and Marc, Tori and I headed down highway 84 to catch highway 1 where we followed the coast through Santa Cruz and Big Sur. We were amazed at nearly every turn with this truly amazing coastline. Cliffs falling into the ocean, sandy beaches, and varying sea stacks, and islands were seen around every turn. We picked up fresh fruit at a road side stand and enjoyed fresh strawberries and kiwi at a state park. Driving as far south as Gorda where we had to turn back as highway has been under repair due to a landslide in 2017. We continued back up to Carmel Valley and are currently enjoying the comforts and hospitality provided by the family of a former coworker and friend of Tori's. Thak you Emma!
