We took a drive down Tioga road with the plan of doing a couple short hikes. This road crosses through the high Sierra mountains and was above 8000 feet at multiple points. From viewpoints and trails we could see the sharp peaks of a a couple of mountains that escaped the wrath of the glaciers 20000 years ago.
The day was finished with a trip back into the valley to grab a souvenir sticker that was sold out the day before and a short hike to the bottom of Yosemite Falls.
Overall the beauty of Yosemite National Park has been impressed on us forever and we hope to return to conquer the Half Dome, or more crucially the lottery to get a chance to hike to the top of the Half Dome.
We finished the day by driving a couple hours to our Airbnb in Ceres and were very happy shower and spend the night in a bed, the first time in 4 nights.
