From Varna we caught a bus to the old port town of Nessebar. While the historic part of the town and some of its Roman era ruins are protected by UNESCO world heritage, the outlying towns of new Nessebar and Sunny Beach are very touristic and full of many resorts and apartments on the coast.
After checking in to our apartment that overlooked the sea we wandered back toward Nessebar stopping for a seafood lunch at Caravan South Beach restaurant. Filled with fish we explored the town for the afternoon. On the way back to the apartment we grabbed some groceries and had an assortment of snacks for dinner.
