Day 3
We did what you are supposed to do on the coast of the Black Sea during the summer months and spent the day on the beach. The first few hours were on the beach next to our hotel and the rest was on a beach a fifteen minute walk south of our hotel. Both nice beaches and the warm sun was enjoyed.
Day 4
We rented a car and drove about an hour down to the old fishing town of Sozopol. After grabbing some lunch we walked around the town and took in beautiful views from its cliffs as well as exploring some of its historic buildings. The fishing marina was interesting and still in full use. After a few hours of wandering we attempted to visit the Burgas Salt works but the area was closed for the next two weeks as they built board walks and infrastructure to support the tourist demand. Disappointed we settled for spending some time on a nearby beach. Not a terrible alternative.
