In the morning we returned the rental car and caught a cab to Burgas where we waited an hour before catching a nearly 5 hour bus ride to the city of Plovdiv. After checking in we walked into the old city centre to find dinner and see a couple sites. We saw the uncovered remains of the ancient roman stadium as well as walking past many of the historic houses. We had authentic Bulgarian food at the somewhat touristy Diana's before walking back through town to get back to our apartment. The evening was finished with a couple beers and the Champions league final. Some people in the world will apparently never walk alone, it's probably better not to in Liverpool anyway.
