Netherlands Day 3 - A bit more of Amsterdam

We checked out of hotel leaving our bags to grab later on.  After a quick stop for bagels at a cafe just down the street we walked to the famous "skinny bridge" Magere Brug built in the 17th century. This famous bridge confused us as to why it is so popular with tourists but we saw it and its fancy light fixtures but wouldn't go out of our way again to see it.  From here we walked over to the flower market, which offered all sorts of tulip bulbs, cheese, and souvenirs.  Hungry again we headed toward The Avocado Show a famous restaurant that features avocados in nearly every dish on the menu.  We added our name to the list and waited out the hour wait across the street at an Irish pub.  Returning the avocado show we enjoyed a couple tasty dishes and set out to get back to our hotel to grab our bags.  We ducked under cover to avoid 15 minutes of heavy rain and managed to get back to the hotel relatively dry.  The next stop was the train station and we were soon on a two and half hour across the country to the city of Maastricht.  We arrived around 9, checked into our airbnb and called it a day.
