Greece Day 5 - Ferry to Milos Island

We were up early, made some eggs at the hostel and were down at the ferry terminal to catch our Ferry to the greek island of Milos.  Scott slept for the majority of the three hour ferry ride and both he and Tori were happy to arrive in the greek islands.  The next 5 days would be spent on this island.  We were greeted by our hotel host who drove us a couple kilometers to our place.  A lovely room with a balcony overlooking the fields and the ocean would be our home for the next while.  We unpacked our bags a bit and wandered back into town to find some lunch.

Following lunch we wandered across the island to see the Catacombs.  Passing many beautiful views of other towns and the coast made the walk go by a bit quicker.  We explored the nearby towns of Plaka and its hill top castle, as well as the town of Trypiti on our walk.  An ancient theatre that has been refitted to accommodate local performances was also an interesting sight.

All in all we walked over 11 miles and earned our dinner at the lovely O Hamos family run tavern.
