Peru Day 17 & 18 - Nazca

Day 17

A bit of a lazy morning as we slept in and had breakfast in the hotel.  We packed up and went for a bit of walk through town before catching our bus to Nazca at 1:30 in the afternoon.  We drove through desert for a few hours before turning a corner and seeing the Pacific Ocean.  For the first time in about a month Tori and Scott were back at sea level.  We followed the coast for a few hours before turning back inland and eventually arrived in Nazca around 11:30pm.

Day 18

We hired a cab to take us out the nazca lines viewing tower.  The lines were viewed and we were less than impressed but it checked off another UNESCO world heritage site.  We then drove across town and saw the Chauchilla cemetery.  This pre inca cemetery was also less than impressive but was one of the things to see in Nazca.  We returned to town and found some lunch before collecting our bags and heading to the bus station.  We took a pretty miserable 3 hour bus ride and crammed into a taxi to take us to our hotel just outside of Huacachina.  After dropping off our bags we caught a tuk tuk and four of us managed to pile in for the short drive into the desert oasis town of Huacachina.
