Romania Day 2 - Brasov

We caught an uber to the train station and a boarded a train to the town of Brasov.  Upon arrival we were greeted by cab drivers trying to charge us 25USD to go less than 2 miles to old town. We took an Uber and it was less than 3USD.  After checking into our spacious apartment that overlooks the main square we found some lunch and enjoyed some chicken shepherds pie and potato bread at La Ceaun. A quaint little spot a block out of the main square with friendly staff and very quick service.

After lunch we ventured outside the city walls and climbed up to the white and black towers for some views over the city.  The rain started and we quickly walked back to the hotel.  After grabbing some snacks at a market next to our apartment we relaxed for the rest of the afternoon hoping for the weather to improve.  It cleared around 7 and Scott ventured out before dinner to take some photos in the square.

We had dinner at a lovely restaurant that is set in the cellars of an old building. Sergiana food was presented well, was plentiful, the ambience of folk music and the setting in the red brick cellars made for a lovely meal.
