Our first day in Lima started with breakfast at the hotel before we headed down to the waterfront. We spent some time hanging out on a rocky beach enjoying the sunshine and the cool breeze. A couple hours passed and we were starting to get hungry so we caught a cab to the Barranco neighborhood and checked out the famous viewpoint. At 1:30 we attempted to eat at Isolina, we put our names down and eventually got a table at 3:15. While we waited we explored a bit more of the surrounding area. The food was definitely worth the wait, though the service needs to be improved. We caught a taxi back to the hotel and then wandered over to the Choco museum where we made a variety of cacao based beverages before pouring some chocolate into molds. It was a fun couple of hours. In the evening we resynced with a fun german couple we had met in Bolivia. A few more laughs and good food was had.
Well we had one incredible year of travel over the latter half of 2018 and the first of 2019. We will continue to use this to post on other places we find ourselves lucky enough to explore as part of our return to normal life.
